Biography:

Born to a musical family, Lil' Daddy ! (named Karl by his parents), has played piano all his life. He grew up playing in basement bands with family and friends, entertaining at family gatherings and church events. In high school, Karl taught himself to play lead and rhythm guitar. One summer, an uncle staying with the family had a trumpet and trombone. Karl quickly learned to play them as well. For several years after high school, Karl played a varied mix of music. Ballads, ragtime, pop, rock, mostly playing guitar or bass. Then in the mid
80's, during a visit to Lee's Unleaded Blues on Chicago's south side, the blues bug bit him. The house band, Buddy Scott and the Ribtips, and a host of local sit in talent put on a show that left a seed and for the next twenty years would develop into the entertainer known today as Lil' Daddy !
